Have you been waiting for a really handsome guy, who always wears a tuxedo?  I think we’ve found him!  Clay is a beautiful, strong Staffordshire Terrier mix.   He was rescued from the shelter because of problems with his ears.  It turned out he had severe allergies, which had never been treated.  In The Arms of Angels paid for an extensive ear surgery on both ears.  After a time for recovery, Clay is ready to find his forever home.  Due to the untreated ears, he can no longer hear, but is very responsive to hand signals and the vibrations from loud claps, snaps or whistles.  Clay is a very loving dog, who only wants to please his person.  He has learned some basic commands and is very food motivated.  His favorite hobby is chewing on bones.  He also like to wrestle stuffed animals.  The stuffed animal always loses and gets distributed fairly evenly throughout your house.  But, he loves it!  Clay likes other dogs, but is a little too curious and rambunctious for cats.  He would do best with dogs his size or larger. He likes to go for walks and, with his boundless energy, would probably make a great companion for a runner.  Clay is crate trained and housebroken.  His spot is stretched out on the couch—right next to his people.  Clay will need to have grain-free food to keep his allergies at bay.  He also benefits from an allergy pill when the pollen count is high.  His ideal family will be very active and not afraid to take on a dog that needs accommodations for his lack of hearing and allergies.  He is great with kids, but wouldn’t be much fun for kids under 10, due to his exuberance and size.

Clay's adoption fee of $85.00 includes his microchip, neuter and current DHPP and Rabies vaccine.
