Chester is a healthy and athletic dog who gets along well with the male and female dogs in his foster home. He's about 7 years old and weighs 56 pounds. Chester very rarely barks - usually only when strangers come to the door. It's unknown how he interacts with children, but he will need a home with no small dogs or cats. Chester can jump a 5 ft wall, so he will need a house with a higher wall or supervision in the yard.
Chester has great house manners, and takes treats very gently from your hand. He never jumps up on people, and walks nicely on a leash. He can be left unsupervised in the house and does not require a crate, but he would love a bone to chew on while you're away! Chester loves to play fetch and catch with a tennis ball and happily carries his ball around with him all day. He will also bring you his ball, so you can play too. He's learning to catch a Frisbee out of the air. Chester seems eager to learn - he has a very good "sit" and knows to wait for permission before eating his dinner. He sleeps quietly through the night and has been trained to stay off the furniture in his foster home. Chester is affectionate and loyal and he loves belly scratches! Chester's adoption fee of $125.00 includes his microchip, neuter and current DHPP and Rabies vaccine. A $11.00 license transfer fee will also be collected at time of adoption.
