Updated 3/26/2012 Patty is a great dog. She is very quiet and a little timid. But after awhile she gets over being timid and makes herself right at home. Patty walks well on leash once you get her up and going, is housebroken, doggie door trained, and gets along with both large and small dogs. When Patty first came into her foster home she was put into a crate, and she could only handle it for 2 hours, it was soon discovered that she is ok not being in a crate. When Patty's foster parents must leave, Patty will either go outside or stay in the house, she is also not crated at night. She has gotten into the trash once, so the trash can is locked at night now. As far as cats go, she'll sniff and kiss them and then she walks away from them, she has not chased them. She is currently in a home that has no children, so we do not know how she is with small children. Patty was a little overweight, and so far has lost 9 pounds, as she slims down her foster parents sometimes see her trotting through the yard. As Patty continues to lose her weight, she will become more active. At adoption events Patty usually will lay on her blanket out of the way. Patty will lay on the floorboard for car rides, and after a bit will finally get up in the seat. Patty does need to be brushed often since her fur is thick, this will help keep the shedding down. Patty's adoption fee of $125.00 includes her spay, microchip, current DHPP and Rabies vaccinations. An additional fee of $11.00 will be collected at time of adoption for license transfer.
