Lulu is a Treeing walker coonhound.
Lulu Belle was found out in the desert, unable to stand on her own, two kind Border patrol agents who found her carried her to safety and into The Arms of Angels. Here Lulu was given a safe place to recuperate but shortly after she was brought to her foster home she gave birth to six healthy puppies. Since the start Lulu has been very sweet, loving and docile. She spent most of her time in the earlier period sleeping, but would always find energy to crawl into her humans lap and rest her head. As time went on she gained more energy, and began to show interest in other things. Two months later Lulu has transformed into a fabulous dog. She loves to play with toys, especially rubber bones, and will often run around the house teasing the other dogs to try and catch her. She loves playing with her puppies and smaller dogs; she is good with bigger dogs dogs as well. Lulu does not currently live with a cat, but when around cats at the vet she has showed no interest. She is shy opening up to new people and it will often take a day or two for her to feel comfortable. Once comfortable she will shower them with love, and wiggles. She loves snuggles and will often try to lay on you, and she will shove her head into your hand for you to stroke her long ears. She is not fond of visitors and will often leave the room or pay no mind to them. She is food obsessed, and must be watched vigilantly around it. She is a sneaky thief and will try to steal whatever is in your hand! A stern no will have her backing away, but only until she thinks you are not paying attention! Lizards and squirrels are her favorite thing to chase and you will often hear that distinctive coonhound bay coming from her when she's outside playing. She is extremely intelligent but stubborn. Good luck trying to get her out of your spot on the couch once she's decided to take it! And don't bother to pretend you have a treat in your hand, she knows that trick and is not amused! Lulu is potty trained and knows how to use a dog door, even with access to the outside though she prefers to stay inside with her humans, as she is a very loyal loving girl.
Lulu's adoption fee of $125.00 includes her microchip, spay and current DHPP and Rabies vaccine. A $11.00 license transfer fee will also be collected at time of adoption.
