Dixie's adoption fee of $125.00 includes her microchip, spay and current DHPP and Rabies vaccine.


Dixie first came into rescue 3 years ago. Her adopters has stopped giving her medication for Valley Fever and she was in bad shape. The shelter thought she was going to have to have her leg amputated because of the deterioration due to lack of treatment. Wonderful people paid for her medical care and helped to save her leg. She was adopted by a wonderful lady who was an amazing asset to the rescue community. Sadly, her adopter passed away unexpectedly so her previous foster mom took her back into rescue. Dixie gets along with everyone she meets; people and animals. She is amazing with kids and is very playful with other dogs. Her previous adopter had Dixie help with the intake when she would bring other rescues into the house and Dixie always welcomed them and helped to get them comfortable in the environment. Dixie is housebroken, walks nice on leash, gentle with treats and one of the sweetest, most loving dogs. She would do amazing in any household but would love a four legged friend or kids of her very own.
