Tootsie came to us when she started giving birth at a local shelter. She bonded quickly with her foster mom but remained nervous with people that came and went from her foster home.

Tootsie does well with other dogs when given proper introductions. She spent a week at a a different foster home to work on socializing. She was ok with the small dog savvy children, but definitely preferred the one that was a little older and calmer. She was scared of the cats.

Tootsie is like a beautiful rock that needs polished. We have watched her grow from a scared and isolated mom to a fun loving, playful dog. This change did not happen overnight. Tootsie's new home will need to be patient with her. Give her treats, sit on the floor to gain her trust. She does warm up quickly.

When Tootsie is in a new home she will run because she is scared. For this reason her adoptive home must have a barrier beyond the exit doors. She does warm up with in a week, but we have to know she's going to 

be safe so that is a requirement.

When Tootsie's foster mom is away from home Tootsie is left loose in the master bedroom with the other resident dog. She enjoys her dog bed in the corner. Tootsie is potty trained. She is able to take treats nicely when the resident dogs are taking treats as well.

I'm telling you, if you give Tootsie a chance, you will be rewarded with an amazing dog. ❤️

We are guessing she is a terrier mix based on appearance and size.  She is about 25 pounds.  We do not DNA test.

Tootsie's adoption fee of $150.00 includes microchip,  alter, DHPP series and Rabies vaccine.
