Looking for a loveable family dog, then look no further! Daphne adores people and is happiest when she by the side of a loving human of any age. Daphne was an owner surrender at the shelter due to the owners not having enough time or space for her. This almost cost her her life as she came down with a doggie cold and went on the urgent list. Once she was safe in her new foster home, it was evident that she was grateful but confused. She was very clingy at first, but after about a week, she really came into her own. In her original home, she lived with a 5 and 6 year old and was said to be tolerant and loving of children. In her foster home there are no children but she is not phased by childish antics. In her foster home she shares attention with two canine foster siblings, one boy and one girl. She gets along fantastically with both of them. She really loves to play and would love a forever home with some canine siblings. Do you like to snuggle your furry friends? That’s great because Daphne loves to snuggle and be snuggled! She could be an award-winning snuggler! When she’s not outside playing, she spends most of her time snoozing on the couch. Her paper work said she slept at night on the family’s couch, and that it evident! Daphne is learning how to spend the nights and work-time in a crate. She did not like it one bit at first, but is learning that her kennel is a safe and comfortable place instead of being a scary place. She did bark and whine a bit when she was new to her foster home but she is learning quickly when its appropriate. Daph is also completely house broken! She has not had a single accident in her foster home. If she has to go out, she will go to the door and “knock” or whine. Daphne also loves to play and has small bursts of energy. Her favorite toys include tennis balls, kongs filled with peanut butter, and plush toys. She’s content to chew on toys or to play fetch with you, or even herself! Many times she can be seen batting a tennis ball around and chasing it herself, much like a cat! Miss Daphne is approximately 40-50lbs and 2 years old, or less. She is mostly tan and has very short, soft hair. She will be available for adoption after she finishes her cold medications, puts on some weight, and has her spay completed. Daphne's adoption fee of $150.00 includes her microchip, spay, DHPP series and Rabies vaccine. A $11.00 license transfer fee will be collected at time of adoption. More about DaphneGood with Dogs
