Wilma has a sweet personality, and she simply loves everyone and everything. She gets along well with people, kids, dogs, cats.  She is very social and would be the perfect dog for a family that wants a dog to take with them to baseball, soccer or football games or someone looking for a jogging or biking partner.  She is a high energy girl and needs daily outings or exercise of some sort to keep her happy. She LOVES to learn new things so teaching her new tricks and behaviors occasionally would also help keep her energy directed in  positive ways. She is mastering some basic commands, “Sit” “Stay” “Come” “Down” “Stop” “Crate” “Walk” and “Easy”. She is being trained with lots of positive motivation in the form of praise and treats are always in my pocket.  She responds well to simple corrects of the leash and telling her “No” or “Stop”.   

Wilma is house broken and will bark and show anxiety when she needs to go out and potty, she is also crate trained. She is doing great with her foster family but when she first came to us she had horrible separation anxiety and was destructive if not crated, she might go through the transition of separation anxiety again with a new family so it would probably be best to crate her at first. Although she might not need a crate after awhile with her forever family, until she feels safe and secure and know the household rules.

When she is playing with other dogs she is very good about being submissive, but when she gets comfortable with them she can play a little too rough. Simply calling her and making her sit and putting her back on the leash gets her to behave politely again. She is just so happy with life and playing that she forgets her manners.

Wilma's adoption fee of $125.00 includes her microchip, spay and current DHPP and Rabies vaccine. A $11.00 license transfer fee will also be collected at time of adoption.
